GUIDE TO GLAM FEATURING HAIR BY SATIVA

We were so excited to feature Sativa Marie in our Guide to Glam in Kitsap. Sativa has been the go to for color and cuts for my entire family since we moved from Seattle two years ago. Her services and products are top notch.
Sativa grew up on Bainbridge Island and has been cutting hair since she was little. Her dad's best friend owned a barbershop in Bremerton. The old school kind of shop where half the people in there weren't even getting their haircut, they were solving world problems and getting into heated debates. It was that spot that made her want to get into the beauty biz even as a small child.
In elementary school she brought a can of Aqua Net and a brush to school and charged girls $1 to do their hair during recess in the bathroom at Ordway Elementary. She wasn't caught until she brought Wet n Wild bright red lipstick and charged an extra $1.
Sativa had other exciting careers but they all seemed like work to her. Until one day she was venting to her bestfriend about work when she asked her the question that changed her life, "What would be fun to do?" The next thing she knew she was enrolled in cosmetology school.
Sativa works out of Rosario Salon located at 19068 Jensen Way in the heart of Poulsbo, WA. She cut and styled hair for a client for the 2017 Grammy Awards, but makes every client feel like a star when they sit in her chair, even offering free haircuts to those in need. From bright colors to ombres and beyond, Sativa is our go to for a cut and color in Kitsap.

This girl power photoshoot we did was a blast! Sativa met Annika at the salon bright and early while photographer Sarah Lopez and I caffeinated ourselves finalizing the wardrobe at Sarah's Photography studio and shooting location scouted nearby.
Helios (God of Sun) again shone favor on Annika delivering breaks in weather perfectly aligning with our shooting schedule. Annika's radiant color was captured beautifully by Sarah, as Sativa tamed her locks between wild gusts of wind and rain. The resulting photos were magnificent
